Alexis Semmler is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in rural healthcare and emergency medicine. Her years on the front lines of patient care inspired a deep passion for mental health, functional medicine, and preventative care. Alexis founded ALYV Health to bring a modern, integrative approach to care—combining evidence-based medicine with functional and lifestyle therapies to help patients restore balance, energy, and long-term well-being.
As both a clinician and entrepreneur, Alexis is dedicated to reimagining the way healthcare feels. She believes true wellness comes from understanding the whole person—mind, body, and environment—and works closely with each patient to create a personalized plan that aligns with their goals. Her background in high-acuity emergency medicine provides a strong foundation for diagnosing complex conditions, while her focus on functional and mental health allows her to guide patients toward sustainable, preventative solutions.

Renée Schroeder leads with a passion for providing accessible psychiatric care to the community. With a diverse background as a registered nurse in emergency medicine, surgery, home health, and women’s health, Renée brings a wealth of experience and empathy to her practice.
As a former assistant professor of nursing, she blends clinical expertise with a deep commitment to education, ensuring her patients are informed and involved in their care journey.
Renée also has experience working as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the Community Mental Health arena where she has gained valuable experience managing complex diagnoses and mental health medications.
Renée is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their mental health needs and achieve lasting wellness.
